Today, black lipstick is most associated with the Goth subculture, and to a lesser extent, some heavy metal bands and singers. Bands like KISS and Alice Cooper still wear this dramatic look. But when misused, this lipstick may seem in poor taste and strive. Among the Gothic, is the mark of a inexperienced person or on their own without information.
If you've ever been to an American mall, you can probably picture a person in his mind: out of shape, with a large black t-shirt with black nail polish and messy, unkempt hair. This tragic boy (adolescent long) has a lipstick black a bad name. Hopefully this person will grow out of their fancy, get fit, and move to a better appearance.
So, who pen black lipstick looks good on? And how can you apply for it not seem that you are using a Halloween costume out of season? First, understand the history of this lipstick color, and then follow my advice.
A Brief History of Black lips
Some tribes, such as the Maori of New Zealand paint and tattoo their lips black. In Hindu tradition, men and women of color the lips and teeth with betel, resulting in a dark green. Robert Smith had no doubt at some point, but most of the photos show him using black eyeshadow with red or dark pink, lips (If using any makeup at all). For most of the early Gothic, the eyes were the focal point of attention, resulting in spectacular exaggerated eye makeup and lipstick combined with relatively underestimated.
In the 80 years he turned 90, he wandered the goth subculture further from their punk origins, resulting in acts like Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails, and the birth of industrial music. The focus turned to the eyes to his lips, as artists such as Courtney Love red lipstick smeared on their faces, their faces covered Gothic white and black lips.
