Whether you are getting married in Scotland, be married abroad, here are some great Scottish wedding traditions you can add a taste of Scotland and a touch of luck to your wedding!

Broche Luckenbooth

Give your love a clip of Scotland, called "Luckenbooth" as sample love or marriage as a gift. It is usually made of silver and is engraved with two hearts intertwined. Many couples then this pin to your first baby blanket for good luck.

Gift Show

Each woman who sent a wedding gift is invited by the bride and her mother to her house for tea and cakes (or something stronger). All wedding gifts are opened and laid out for all to see. Scottish men have long suspected that this is only an excuse for a party. However, until now, there has been no real evidence to support this outrageous and slanderous claim.
