Tips on Refilling Epson R220 Printer Ink Cartridge

If you have an advanced photo printer capable of printing directly onto ink-jet printable CD's and even DVD's then you need some tips so as to properly refill some printer ink cartridge be it colored or not. And one of the cheapest alternatives for you to save some bucks is by refilling the ink cartridges instead of buying a new cartridge. By purchasing a compatible refill kit for your printer, you can save lots of money and these kits have in it a syringe, rivets, ink and some instructional materials on how to refill the cartridge. Therefore, here are some tips for you to start over. So read on.

First off the bat is that you need to line your work area with paper towels or clean rags to protect your work surface from any ink spills. You have to use a ballpoint pen to poke a hole through the label into the filling hole of the Epson R220 printer ink cartridge and always remember never to use the ink refill needle from the kit to poke this hole. To ensure that it has been properly done then you have to read the instructional materials for that specific model. Afterwards, you also need to assemble the syringe and the needle that came with the ink refill kit.

Other than that you also need to insert the needle as far as it will be go into the filling hole, a little less than a quarter of an inch and that the angle of the needle must be slightly and slowly injecting the ink into the cartridge by pressing down on the syringe. And be reminded that when you begin to empty remove the rivets, you have to tape it to cover the holes you made in the printer ink cartridge and return it to the printer. Allow the printer to go through several print cycles in order to ensure that the Epson printer operates properly.
