A little more tattoo history

When European travelers returned from Polynesia to Europe they brought with them stories of fabulous skin art and images that had been developed to show the way he looked. A number of these travelers were even taking some of these tattoos, people became more and more fascinated with the concept. The sailors were especially willing to test this new art form.

Sailors and other Westerners who visited the indigenous Polynesian who are expert in creating tattoos and sailors were willing subjects. That was until the missionary colonizer decided it was profane and primitive and tried to stop the practice. Only succeeded in leaping into hiding and not eliminate it. As Europeans continued to practice the art .

There were technological advances in the design and color machines, which led to tattooing becoming increasingly available in the U.S. the development of a uniquely all American flavor. In 1846 in New York's first tattoo shop is believed to have been created by Martin Hildebrandt. When he began the tradition of union and rebel soldiers inking and sailors got tattoos that represent significant battles or events. King Edward VII was the first to start the fashion among his peers in England when he got a tattoo before ascending the throne.

It seems that the perception of the Polynesians as more primitive then the Europeans and Americans was biased because it uses the art of tattoo to reflect things such as loyalty and devotion or to commemorate a heroic battle or just to make abeautiful enduring piece of art. What is it that Americans and the Europeans did, too.

With the onset of World War II, during the 1940s, the country's mood was intensely patriotic. This created a boom for tattoo artists, people who wanted more and more There are more strongly represented than at any other time. Soldiers and sailors were most customers who visited the tattoo parlors that seem to emerge everywhere, and by the 1950s, tattoo industry was an accepted part of Western civilization, although still somewhat on the margins of society.

Now that we have entered the 21st century Tattoos have become a legitimate form of art, attracting both men and women. There are still young and older people that are against personal manner non-permanent body markings, but for those who make the choice options for the style and ink color and body location are limited only by the imagination of the person and artist.
